Driving through the mountains and the radio is giving out/A Détacher 2010

I can't believe it's over! Everything I have been working on this summer kind of peaked this week, the artist I interned for, Rachel Foullon, had her opening Wednesday, my friend got married and last night was the A Détacher show. It looked amazing

This is after the hair/makeup test without the pink lips, aren't the eyelashes rad?? if i could only pull it off outside my bedroom...I felt pretty cool walking home though!

fashion week day 1!

Really bummed that I missed the Rachel Comey show this morning! The rooftop in kind of hazy gray weather and St Vincent playing Tom Petty cover songs sounds like it was a pretty amazing set up - unfortunately we are still knee-deep in planning for our own show Friday night. Very exciting though and it is calming down for sure. I walked around Bryant Park a little this afternoon and it seemed a lot less crazy than I imagined it would be. Going to a few parties this weekend, I am really excited for fashion night out tomorrow. I am going to do the hair test for A Détacher tomorrow night so I will hopefully have some cool updo and makeup! I am glad our show is early.

I know these acne wedges have been all over the internet, but I couldn't help posting them as well. I tried them on this afternoon at steven alan and just stared at my feet in the mirror for a few minutes and you know when you have your outfit picked out or whatever in your mind and it just lingers and involves very very specific items of clothing? i can't get these out of my head (+ the other 3 pairs + baggy ankle socks)

sorry for my lack of any outfit posting, there aren't any white walls in my current space (hah). i'm moving soon!

The only good part about your friend leaving for Nepal for four months? Living in her bedroom and having access to all her clothing (Thank you Lindsay!). I am obsessed with this tee shirt and wear it probably too much (I hope this is okay! I love you!) as it isn't actually mine, but it is perfect and looks cute belted and is the easiest thing to throw on and still feel kinda cool.

My new favorite shoes! And this is my new favorite color. I lately have wanted everything fleshy-pink. I saw a girl wearing these at the shop last week and they happened to be the same as the ones I destroyed earlier this year but 1000x better because they're pink. I got them at an beautiful store in the Lower East Side called Maryam Nassir Zadeh. If you're in the city you should check it out.

Hot Time

I haven't put much effort into dressing lately, with the exception of work, but I still stick to one-pieces and slip dresses. Otherwise its been too much AA and short shorts and tanks. New York is insanely humid and I wish I could say that I look fresh and put together all of the time but it is sadly not so true!

A few of my friends and I went to the free Dirty Projectors show last weekend in Williamsburg...much of which wasn't spent watching the bands (but standing in line because we walked out thinking we could just walk back in..nope!) and just wandering around in the street drinking. Still so much fun! More fashion soon... hopefully this will make up for my spotty posting.
