six, seven, eight, triple nine, eight, two, one, two

I love being at my parents house. I know I am a city girl at heart but there are no thrift stores in nyc quite like the ones in the suburbs. I found the most perfect tuxedo blazer at salvation army the other day, shoulder pads, fitted, long lapels, wrist-length sleeves... I have also caught up on the latest top 40 and thats pretty exciting too...the "kiss me through the phone" song, so good right? uh huh, i know.

I'm donnnnne!

Starting next week I will be working almost full time for Mona of A Detacher. I'm really, really excited. This also means I need to up the amount of A Detacher pieces in my closet (no complaints!). I graduated college two days ago and to actually have a job is kind of unbelievable. These are my current fall picks...

Anyway, I'm sorry I have been so absent these past few weeks. Between finishing up school and no sleep and lousy weather, I kind of put the blog to the side for a bit. Ohhh I am excited for summer though. I have a couple new things to show off, maybe I will take photos this weekend. I'm starting a new internship tomorrow with Rachel Foullon so I am going to be pretty busy these next few months. Anyone doing anything exciting? My non-work plans pretty much include reading/biking/finding a new apartment/sunbathing in Prospect Park/BBQs/Cape Cod/hopefully some good parties and I don't know what else.

In the mail!

All day I have been adding more and more things to my ebay account. I am really determined to get rid of everything I don't wear, which is probably a good 75% or more of my closet. I have weird attachments to things and feel guilty getting rid of them. Am I ever going to wear a spandex rouched purple ruffle dress ever again? No (that's going to Beacon's Closet I think...). I ordered a pair of HOPE pants a little while ago from Stand Up Comedy and unfortunately they were way too big. But! I am exchanging them for this Mono dress:

and I think I am even more excited about it. I love that it is a little see-through (I also have a mini girl crush on the model!). I think it will look pretty cute with these H&M wedges I bought a few weeks ago...

It was very difficult not getting these in the cream version too, but like I said in my last post, I am getting a little better at holding back.
